The Management of the company is headed by Thembekile Simelane, who having served in the private, public and NGO sectors, brings a wealth of leadership skills, well-rounded experience and established networks.
A notable achievement includes having served at the NEPAD Business Foundation (NBF) in a senior role reporting to the CEO and Board, managing the communications, marketing, public relations, fundraising and stakeholder activities. The sizeable portfolio involved delivering quality products and services in conjunction with: the African Development Bank (AfDB), chambers of commerce and business-related agencies or organisations, and esteemed private sector companies from 16 varying industries. International donors, local and international media, the diplomatic core, the South African government, African countries, G8-member countries, and the World Economic Forum (WEF) also formed part of the stakeholders engaged. In addition, exceptional experience within the banking industry was also gained by Thembekile within a particular bank that predominantly services the mining sector and adjacent markets targeting the low-middle LSM groups.
The exceptional experience gained by the Loapi team as a result of strong relations established with varied players in the global scene, has largely contributed to its success to date.
